About the Series

Tuki the Stuffed Koala’s Classroom Adventures

The “Tuki the Stuffed Koala’s Classroom Adventures” series is created to support children, parents, and caregivers by creating space for meaningful conversations about big emotions, fostering resilience, nurturing mindfulness, and helping children develop healthy emotional regulation skills.
The stories are told through the eyes of Tuki the Koala, the class’s beloved and cuddly mascot. In each book, one of Mrs. Amari’s students faces big feelings. They may struggle, argue, feel unsure, or simply not know how to cope. With their teacher’s compassionate guidance and the loving support of their families, each child gradually learns to understand their emotions and develop self-awareness – and readers grow alongside them.
These books are especially reassuring and empowering for sensitive children, helping them feel seen, understood, and supported as they navigate their emotions.

As a teacher, I see very clearly how important it is to help children understand and express their emotions. Every day, school places them in countless situations that can evoke strong and sometimes challenging feelings. That’s why the children’s book about complex emotions, “How to Befriend Your Anger,” is such a wonderful discovery. I highly recommend it to parents and colleagues.

About Me

Hi, I’m Oksana Pariienko

I’m mother of two and children’s book author with a background in psychology, passionate about helping kids explore and understand their emotions

Oksana Pariienko

I was born in Ukraine, where I studied psychology at Zaporizhzhia State University.
In 2016, moving to Germany and becoming a mother opened my heart in ways I had never imagined. I found my true calling, and now I devote myself entirely to writing stories that help children understand and navigate their emotions.
When my own kids struggled with overwhelming feelings, I searched for books that could truly speak to them — but something was missing. I began creating my own stories to help my children make sense of their emotions, and then it struck me: my professional knowledge and personal experience could support others too.
So, I invite you to explore my series, Tuki the Stuffed Koala’s Classroom Adventures,” including “How to Befriend Your Fear” and “How to Befriend Your Anger.”
More than anything, my books are an invitation to families, teachers, and caregivers to create meaningful conversations that help children grow into resilient, self-aware, empathetic adults.
